I’d phoned Brian after many failed attempts at resolving a penetrating damp issue in my flat. I’d just had a “survey” carried out by another company a few days before & was quoted at least £4000 for the remedial works, all without the contractor actually checking anything. I decided to get a second (well, first) opinion after a number of red flags with the company & thankfully I did. I received a very comprehensive report, containing pictures & references, method statements & other useful information to help me fix not only what I’d called him for, but other humidity & condensation problems which I didn’t even know I was experiencing. I was then able to approach a roofing contractor with confidence in what needed to be done & what I should expect. Brian was a pleasure to deal with & I’ll be sure to give him a call if I have any issues in future properties.

We purchased a flat that had a survey for damp proofing work attached to the home report. I contacted Fortress One for a second opinion. Brian arrived early and after completing his inspection work he then emailed a detailed report on the problem (condensation-not rising damp as the initial survey stated) advising the best remedy, saving us a lot of money.
